Default Candycane Shards / Rainbow Candycanes

It says on guildwars.com to save your candycane shards for the finale... did they mean the weaponsmith or will there be another use for them? If so, some people could be really dissapointed if they used their shards on weapons and then didn't have enough for the finale...

Also has anyone found out how to get Rainbow candycanes yet?

I don't think anyone really knows, on either count. Well, aside form Anet employees of course.

Yes, in both Kamadan and Lions Arch. I don't know their names, but in kamadan they are near the portal to the Consulate.

If it says save them for the finale then I guess there will be a use for them.

You can always exchange them for weapons after the finale.

Hope there will be another use for candy cane shards. I'm not going to fill my inventory with all available Candy Cane Weapons

I have a feeling that they could be used to trade for the hat(s) if you happen to have missed the finale.

Hehehe it pretty cool that durning events not gold counts but something everyone has the same amount of, shards ofcourse.
I'm also very curious what's going to happen in the upcomming days. Last year it wasn't as much fun as I have now, farm, get shards, snowball fights, crazy events organised by people, I even help loads of people to do missions for fun, no idea where that comes from, must be the Wintersday spirit.

I've been tempted to sell mine, but I think I'll hold out for the finale...sounds like they may be linked (i.e. shards for rainbow CC's).

I'll save mine too as it did mention that one should save the CC shards for the finale...

I'll be keeping my shards. I've seen the regular candy cane weapon smiths. But are there any for the shields and gingerbread focus? I'd like to pick up a couple of those.

Yes, there is a candysmith in the snowball arena that exclusively gives shields and the focus

I tried to start a rumor that rainbow candy canes give a morale boost. Who'da thunk it
